The Dalton Based Program

The Dalton Plan is a child-centered educational model designed to foster independence, responsibility, and collaboration. Developed by Helen Parkhurst in the 1920s, this approach places students at the heart of their learning journey, emphasizing personalized education and intellectual growth.

The Dalton Plan is structured around three core pillars:

House: A supportive community where students are mentored by a dedicated House Teacher, fostering belonging and collaboration.
Learning Pathway: Students receive tailored assignments that encourage ownership of their learning while developing essential skills like time management, planning, and accountability.
Exploratorium: A space for in-depth exploration, encouraging hands-on learning, research, and critical thinking.
